Hi all Bowman 40 owners & past owners,
We are thinking of buying a beautiful Bowman for Med sailing as a couple with occasional visitors, then the ARC with 4 up.
I am a bit concerned that there doesn't seem to be as much storage space as I expected... We currently have a Contessa 28 so am used to a certain amount of minimalism in a fairly traditional yacht - not asking for cavernous spaces, just reassurance that there will be a sensible amount? The smashing stainless steel water tanks have stolen a lot of space under the saloon seating...
Also, I love sleeping in the cockpit in hot countries. Anyone able to tell me if/how well that works on a Bowman 40? I've come up with various ingenious strategies for extending the length of the side benches, but any comments on actual experience would be most welcome!
