Does a bow thruster reduce hull strength?

If the hull hit something significant at the lower thin section, is this any weaker - or even stronger - than without thruster installation?

Probably notas expect the lower part there will be solid GRP. Stronger than the hull skin around it.

Depends upon how it is glassed on the inside.

If you think about it, the hull now has a large cross beam strengthening the part of the hull most likely to experience a collision

Aside from structural integrity, it looks closer to the edge of the hull than ideal, which reduces effectiveness. I'd check thruster manufacturer's installation instructions.

From a high level structural perspective first thought is it looks like the tunnel leaves an uncomfortably small amount of GRP remaining .
Photographs looking from the inside may however add confidence .
