I have had Side Power bow thrusters for 12 years on my last 2 steel yachts. For some reason the central anode on the Port side propeller is completely gone in 10 weeks whilst the starboard side propeller anode is almost untouched after the full season in Greece.
I always isolate the bow thruster after use, and am at a loss to work out the reason for this. Can anyone help?

Side Power have moved over to using aluminium anodes as standard. Is there any possibility the anode onthe port side is aluminium and the anode on the starboard side is zinc?

I still using zinc but only have one as someone's before we brought the boat broke the bolt in the centre .
We also got one prop that we can't remove no matter how much we tap at it ,
Thinking of cutting it this year and replacing it

Skipper , the problem with your type of posting is , when the time comes your after some info the same people with react the same as you di to them .
I can't understand why anyone on a forum meant to help each other when the best they can do is piss people off .

If you want a chuckle, look back through his old posts. As you say, he wouldn't get help if he needed it on here, but then I believe he thinks he knows everything anyway.

Skipper, I don't appreciate the PM with barely disguised threats. If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

@ Forum admin team , would you be kind enough to inform me why my posting been deleted?
I just read what I wrote and can't find any thing wrong with it ,
It wasn't aggressive or attacking any one just stating a fact that it's unhelpful the remarks that skipper was making .
Unless we are told why posting are deleted there no way we can stop making the same mistake again .

Thanks
