Claymore has a stainless plate fitted. Sikkaflex and self tappers hold it in place. It has a few dings in it but looks fine - I'd rather that than chips out of the gel
any idea how thick the ss is please?

2mm. It bends nicely at that thickness.any idea how thick the ss is please?
Sailing with fenders swinging about!! Sacrilege!!!!!
Seems:
A. Too big (as in too wide). difficult to tell from the picture, but mine is a long, narrow plate. All you need to do it to protect the leading edge of the bow, not the sides.
B. Too flimsy. I can't imagine 0.5mm is going to prevent damage to the bow.
C. Out of stock - that "Free Sikaflex with all bowplates while stocks last" offer isn't going to cost them much!!!
Hey ho! Just a thought.
