Both Boveney and Penton Hook closed to navigation due mechanical failures. Latest form EA around 11am this morning

Penton was fine yesterday resident lock keeper on the buttons no odd noises.

Why finally ? Yesterdays response at both Boveney and PH was commendable with both fixed by end of day.

Yeah I know just frustrating on the 2nd day of holiday and was the same lock I sat at last year for 2 days whilst they had to get a crane in to fix.

I would have thought (stupidly) that after several going last year that they would have atleast gone round and checked them as part of the millions they apparently spent over winter
