Bought Beneteau Antares 30 Fly - Seamotion

Paul,
Can appreciate what you are saying re the stern thruster, been thinking similar myself in recent times after a few tricky situations. Would be great to be able to catch up one time, in the meanwhile, enjoy! Really pleased for you all. A.

Hi Andrew,
Be pleased to see you again for a trip out, we really appreciate the webasto heating system fitted - heats the whole boat including the cockpit rear enclosure - it truly is an all weather boat, amazing! With two more baby grandchildren arrived and arriving we are all kept very warm - so very pleased.
Clocking up the hours very quickly, loads of space for our extended family!
See you soon
Romans 8 !

Here's a few more pics of Romans8.

Happy Christmas all

Paul, sorry to hear this - and right before the Christmas too :(
Just started using our New Beneteau Antares 30 fly since breaking my hip
Best boat I have ever owned!
Easy access for all the family - even for me on crutches!
My family have lots of room - Flybridge is great to drive the boat from especially from our limited space mooring
Heating is great and my wife has enjoyed using the galley - plenty of space for us all to enjoy lots of different areas for all ages to socialise in especially as we have heating in the rear cockpit enclosure.
Great main cabin area for the helm with a copilot seat which seats two - the main cabin is quieter than we thought it would be underway - well insulated engine- beautifully finished wood interior very light with large windows which open.
We are all looking forward to the spring so that we can enjoy the Flybridge seating and sun beds.
Having fitted stern thrusters fore and aft has made it one of the easiest boats to moor - often we see people watching us negotiate docking into our tight mooring!
The Raymarine navigation equipment with its latest Lighthouse upgrade now makes its very advanced software easy to use and thanks to Anne-Maries expertise at Dickies regarding the configuration and recommendations of what was required to make it all talk together on the network has given us a great system.
I must say that Dickies have given us excellent after sales support - good advice and very helpful in sorting out only a small amount of after sales items - thanks!

Superb photos ! I pick mine up from repair next week. Maiden Marine(on Windermere) have done a superb job of drying out and repairing the interior following the water damage caused by my blocked Flybridge drain. Unfortunately it had to be an insurance job but I have now had a flybridge cover made to prevent it happening again. (terrible design Beneteau). I must say that my insurers have been a dream to deal with in every way. I am with Nav & General and can highly recommend them. I have no connection with them, just a satisfied customer !! Next job to do is replace the terrible foam matress in the Fwd Cabin with a springy one and fit a Victron Inverter with extra domestic battery and Solar panel to keep my batteries topped up while I am away. Oh! and some pop up cleats on the bathing platform. Can't wait for summer !!!

Thanks for the reminder of keeping the Flybridge drain clean, we have a Flybridge cover which Beneteau supplied but it only covers up to the hatch.
I have not tried the mattress yet - probably will do the same as we did with our Antares 8.80 & put a thick duvet on top, that worked well!
Let me know what you decide on the pop up cleats for the rear bathing platform - excellent idea.
Thanks for your advice!
We are also looking forward to the summer - Romans 8 is a great boat & even in the winter we are enjoying our trips out with the heating system on.

I also had an Antares before this one but it was the 6. That was a cracking boat but we are now glad of the extra space. The pop up cleats I am looking at are from Seascrew who seem to be very good on price. I will need them on Windermere as the public jetties that I frequent tend to be a funny shape when you go in stern first and my last boat used to bump into the wooden pontoons if I didn't fende and tie off correctly. These cleats will come into their own where I berth so that is why I need them. I will let you know how I get on with these, and the mattress once I have had it made.

Ian at Tingdene marina suggested some wire wool or metal gauze in the channel that leads to the flybridge drain. It's a worry any case, still contemplating drilling extra holes.

Just been looking at this boat on the Beneateau website - could any of the owners show me a better photo of the seating arrangement in the cockpit. Is it removable? If so how is it fixed in place?

Yes the seats are removable
They are simply fixed with two thumbscrews inside each of the two fibreglass pods
each pod is fixed by these fittings against the sides.

Lovely boat, I want one!:)

Great boat the Antares 30 Flybridge
Drive it from the Flybridge and it has the same thrill ride of the Rib we had
Drive it from the inside main helm - inside cabin - it is complete luxury
The boat has great presence when you arrive at marinas - a boat for all seasons✅
