Bought new Antares 30 from Dickies at 2013 Boat show
Followed the blog on Antares 30 questions - great source of information-- thanks
Had Osmotech at Hamble point fit stern thruster and CopperCoat the hull plus other fittings brilliant company very professional.
Went to Raymarine demo suite to get advice on radar and chartplotters - found out that new lighthouse software is very advanced - links up to 8 iPads and iPhones on board!
Looking forward to using the new boat

Will log our experiences - have 6 crew (sons & son-in-laws) + wives grandchildren! fully trained and waiting to go out so expect to use the boat in all weathers.

Fitted with a single Volvo D6-370 diesel engine. Control on fly bridge.

We have a c90w downstairs & after a while even though there is a st70 upstairs on the flybridge I fitted another c90w as well as I didn't like navigating up there without that warm feeling of a chartplotter.There is space for it & a power supply so only a tricky cat 5 cable run to interconnect. Just a thought!:encouragement:
 
Thanks for the advice - we have a Raymarine e7D GPS/ plotter multifunction screen at helm and a a65 with charts on fly bridge - plus i70 on fly bridge
Pleased that I have made the right choice to have plotter mirroring the charts on the fly bridge on the a65 display.
I value all advice at this stage of commisioning - Thank you.

Can you post a photo of the thruster controls, did they control both thrusters using Sidepower dual controller or have separate controllers for bow and stern?

When does she go in the water?

The Beneteau Antares 30 Fly is being Launched tomorrow with Volvo testing and PDI checks - Handover to us on Saturday

Can appreciate what you are saying re the stern thruster, been thinking similar myself in recent times after a few tricky situations. Would be great to be able to catch up one time, in the meanwhile, enjoy! Really pleased for you all. A.
