Thanks.

Can't find much information on how it sails.

It has a relatively small sail area.Main 155 sq ft genoa 320 sq ft. Under the LYS handicap system it is rated at 1.06 in comparison to an an Albin Ballad at 1.10,a Contessa 32 at 1.11 ,and my own Artekno H323 at 1.13. I would expect moderate performance especially in light winds. With a relatively high Ballast ratio it should perform better once the wind pipes up a bit.

Here is a Swedish webbsite maybe you can translate with googletranslate.

Here is what the Swedes thinks about B31
Boat year: 1976
Years of experience in the model : 2
Use: Racing
Normal crew : 2
The sailing characteristics : Safe and stable! Talking about it is lovgirig , and need larger keel weight ! Not necessary , I think , tune in, and have the right sail instead! goes very well with gennacker in light - wind, is uderbar when the wind blows a little more ! it floats up , terrible stiff and seaworthy boat ! ASKING !
How it is to stay in the boat : Boutrymmerna is perfectly OK ! as a ballad , scampi about ! a little pretty with stowage utrymmerna , but uses stickkojen as sådan.Sittbrunnen is narrow but long , it sits nicely at the wheel with full control ! good spaces on deck !
Positive qualities : Feels very seaworthy ! Steering wheel control system , responding perfectly, with rudder feeling! Swedish quality ! " Vagria " provides a storbåtskänsla , and greater freedom to move around in the boat! Throughout the mast ! sturdy construction! rigging and its mounting ! Oceanfarer one ! which one can sail around the world with no problems !
Problems / weak points : A little tight in the cockpit , but no worse a ngn another boat in this size ! A little larger and more stowage space had been good! but it is planned , it is not a problem !
Implemented improvements: Built up a solid rutparti wood that lifted the boat utseede significantly ! Come our equip the boat with canopy ! Mounted windshield wipers ! A little motor sail - butt ! Will and provide the boat with bowsprit , and possibly jib , mounted extra boxes in the cabin roof back !
Other comments : B31 -ball is impertinent criticism , of people who do not have any , or have any! Most boat for the money, I think! and frammför all not race sailed as part whacked scampi, etc. , that you may look out ! most serious known . home construction, which gives genuine wood feeling ! in view of the cockpit , so it's probably better to buy a Maxi 95 text if you seek this! but completely different money !

I have listened to all comments from ybw members and brokers about the teak deck. I have just completed a restoration of the deck. Repaired and recaulked deck. She looks great now, fabulous.

I have read extensively about teak deck repairs and taken a balanced view on all expert experiences and recommendations.

If anybody is interested even armchair critics please get in touch.
