bose marine speakers

Ive been looking at the bose marine speaker 215 model i think just wondered if any one had these on there boat and wether there worth the extra buck that you pay for bose as in comparison to other marine speakers, looking forward to your comments

I have Bose 131. Took them out of their housing as space behind was an issue.
Sound is good but I don't have much experience of other makes.

yes thats the ones ive been looking at my mistake. So thats a fumbs up then I dont think you can go wrong with bose speakers, were did you purchase your ones from I am based in london and poole area if you know of somewhere local to these areas

Bose make superb speakers, but they rely heavily on the shape and materials of the housing.

I had a set fitted last year, great thing about them is they have their own tuned enclosure, so sound wise it doesnt matter too much what you fit them into, although you have to take into account the size of the enclosure when looking for a install location.
Sound quality is very good, although i plan to add an amp at some point as currently only fed from the head unit. Have got them alongside an active Fusion sub which is also pretty good for the money.
Got mine off flea bay, but id of thought any Bose dealer could order them in, Richer Sounds maybe?

thanks ive been looking on fleabay myself but they all seem to be american not that i have issue with americans but the postage knocks the price up and i want them quick. thanks for your input cheers

Bose have a factory shop in Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth if that helps.
