Boracol on canvas

I've heard that Boracol can be used on canvas to kill and mouldy black/green nasties on there. My dodgers are looking a bit worse for wear, particularly around the lettering.

The dodgers are red tweed acrylic, and the letters just seem to be a white canvas. Has anyone tried this, and are the results good? Any tips on concentration?

(PS, in case anyone says RTFM, I don't have the boracol myself yet, a friend has offered to give me a bit to see if it works!)

I use undiluted Boracol 5RH on my sprayhood, with great results.

Boracol will work fine, if expensively. Dilution depends on if its 5RH or 10RH. Much cheaper is Patio Magic, diluted 4:1.

Patio Magic works wonders and costs less. Get a spray bottle and dilute 3/4 water and 1/4 patio magic, then spray on canvas, ropes, teak when they are dry. You will see the difference within a week. Teak turns clear as new about 2 or 3 weeks after application depending on how dry the weather has been, because of course rain washes it off and reduces the effectiveness.

It is even more effective if you can soak the material with it. I do that with ropes in a bucket and they remain clean for several months.
