Boot Dudeldorf

Going again with a mate on the first weekend (ie. tomorrow), and only after booking the flights realised that the show opens to public only on Saturday. Does anybody know if there is trade day on Friday, etc.? I doubt my modest YouTube subscription numbers will get me in, but will have to talk to our local sales guys to see if their patience streches to yet another visit . Otherwise it'll be a long day at the Killepitsch hatch :).
Afraid not. It’s set-up tomorrow. Saturday always fun.

Am there Saturday and Sunday (7 of us) but not booked anywhere for dinner on Saturday night. Anyone know if it is worth going to the harbour? Area opposite Hyatt Regency Hotel. About a 30 min walk from our hotel.

Me and Her indoors are setting off tomorrow to drive to the Show from Suffolk UK...…. Quite looking forward to the trip

This is our first time at the show and my goodness what a lot to see an incredible lineup of boats and the whole thing is huge we are going again today to try and get the rest of it done

When looking around the show I find myself conflicted about the lovely things on display and the distribution of wealth in the world

When walking around the gallery it is interesting how the great unwashed or riff raff like myself and her indoors (especially her indoors) are only 2-5 m away from the mega rich talking deals about their next massive indulgence and also watching their children on their phones looking uninterested

The thing I like the most is that the development in large outboards is meaning that quite large boats can now be outboard powered

When I look at the 19-20 ft speedboats that I am generally interested in I can’t help thinking that the 19 year old fletcher with a 200 hp yam on the back that I just bought for £7k will be just as much fun as the shiny new ones on display for nearer £50k and I won’t need to worry half as much

Also seagulls will poop on £50k just as soon as they will £7k

Here se is

am sure your aren’t wrong. Am sure you don’t have anymore fun in a new car either but I personally tend to buy newer cars.

Saturday I arrived for opening and left at 6:30 along with it seems the entire football crowd. I saw just 4 boats in hall 6 and didn’t get any further. Sunday hall 6 again but did also get to halls 4, 5 & 10 (must have been drinking less). Getting to see boats was not an issue. Didn’t make any appointments just requested to see the dealer that I had been dealing with and was on the boat within minutes.

boat show itself is huge and you can see why london no longer exists. It cannot compete. Transport was also excellent with your show ticket giving you free trams/underground/buses. Will def go again.

boat of the show for me was the pearl 62.

I just spent Sat and Sun in there and regretted not having one more day to visit the stands I missed . I loved the easy going atmosphere. On Saturday evening as the show had closed and we were walking back to the east entrance, we spotted a party at Padi stand. We joined in for a few beers and a rest of feet, before continuing to Altstad for some après show refreshments. Later some boaty chit-chat in a bar where everyone seemed to be in a good mood. Very nice.

Train was very full and slow on the way back though.

Back in our hotel now after our second day. Had 2 lovely days but totally exhausted

Drive back to the U.K. tomorrow

If you have never been it is well worth a visit but make sure you wear comfy shoes cos your feet will ache

I too spent an enjoyable weekend at Boot. I would hesitate to post a picture of a sailing boat in this forum, but if this won't tempt both sail and power boaters to Boot I don't know what will...
