Boot care? Maindeck leather

I treated myself to a decent pair of Maindeck leather boots. I expected that there would be care instructions in the pack. Sadly not. Advice please.

They're made of waxed leather, so use a wax-based cream to care for them, eg Waxed Leather Oil - Cherry Blossom Shoe Care
