Hi I took my boom home this eve to free off the pivoting part at the back end of it, where the mainsheet block connects to, "dont know what it is called".
It took some effort to get it freed off but eventually got there, but while I was doing that, I noticed the revits holding the unit into the end of boom were corroded, and I think me turning the boom under great resistance helped to loosen them further, so now I have the unit detached from boom altogether.
Boom is aluminium and so is the end unit, what type of revits should I use? aluminuim or stainless steel? considering the old aluminuim ones were nearly rotted away.
Would appreciate any advice on this.
