Bolt Needed..Rudder Steering in bits!

Decided to remove a rusty nut from my wheel steering connecting the rods.

The nut it a hex, nylon lock at the top, 10mm (ish), with a either a BSP or UNF/UNC? Its not metric.

Where can I buy these on Saturday in the Portsmouth area? Have tried all marine placesbut they only sell matric and ny large nylocks.

Don't know about Portsmouth on a Saturday, but if you're desperate you would definitely get one at Bealieau on Sunday.

The table near the end of THIS WEBPAGE might help you identify the thread from the across flats measurement of the nut. You need a thread gauge,or an experienced eye, though to distinguish between UNF and UNC or between Whitworth and BSF. (Not likely to be BSP , that's for pipes etc.)
