Well, I'm back, on the rig that is! Englander is at this moment lying in Puerto Ibiza Nueva, after a fairly uneventful run. Left lagos for rota, stayed there for a day, due to a Levbante blowing force 7-8 through the straits, you do not want to be facing one of those, believe me! Next stop Gib for fuel, 1600 liters, @ 22p a litre, pretty good. Then order new Yamaha 125 trailway motorbike. Off to Estep[ona for crew, no room in any costa del sol marina, none of them!! Back to Gib for the bike! Then straight to Almerimar, awful ebtrance, very shallow and moves about, stuck there for two days with bad SW winds, which kick up a hell of a chop/surf at the entrance, very shallow all around there actually. Then direct 052 true course for Ibiza, great sail/motor basically a great trip, enjoyed it immensely, two of the crew I should have dumped at Gibraltar, nothing but trouble all the way, but thats another story, I'll be more careful who I have onboard next time!

Now we all want to hear the other story, what did these 2 get up to that makes you think they should have been left in Gib.

How long have you got b4 you're due back on the rig? Would you recommend where you are now? Good to hear that you arrived safely.

The BSA has gone back to the UK, back home, she'll be well looked after, don't woprry, but the kickstarting and oil on the decks was killing me! Now the little Yamaha ha ha, will have to do, actually its a marvellous little thing!

Yo! Longjohn! I'm already back on the rig! Didn't have time to wash the hull! Those two, well one originally, I had to drag a Gibratarian off him in Gib, drag him out of a whorehouse in Almerimar, washup after him, dry his towels, he finally wound up a long time friend of mine to almost mutiny and a horrendous row with me, then got one of his front teeth knocked out in a cloub in Ibiza, about time one might add, I had to rescue him from another whorehouse! where he thought he'd been done, he probably had! But hell! I'm not into all this kind of crap and won't have my boats or my own name dragged through this, I have to live onboard and deal with the locals and authorities, finally he went out the night befoire he was due to leave, I had already left for work, got completely wasted in another club, came back, left againj, then missed his flight home, he has since been asked to get off the boat ever again!! They have no idea what this kind of behaviour can cause in a foriegn country! These guys are 40 years old! The one who caused it all is a complete idiot! But brought along by my long term friend, he has almost destroyed that friendship aswell! I am not a very happy little bear, when it comes to my crew!

Hmmmm! Colin. It's a good job I could not come. Still missed the POP Group trip though. Due to Forse 11 winds for two weeks. But the backs better. Time to find all the whore spots your mates went to. Have you remembered the addreseases.?
So what did they do wrong. Still waiting for the nitigrity. So they went to whore houses. Whats wrong with that. It's either there or the pub. Come on Colin what did they really do that wound you up <G>?

I don't really give a shit if they go to the whorehouse, it's having to go and bail there arses out of the places, because they are too pipssed to do anything then want to fight etc. I do not like a bunch of drunken yahoos onboard, thats all, I like a drink myself, but I dont like belligerent drunks and offering me violence on my own boat or abusing my boat or my hospitality, neither will be allowed, not on my boat, I felt embarrassed and abused I will not put up with it, thats all! I don't behave like that and if anybody wants to do so, they can stay away from me. I can also be a pain in the bum when I'm drunk, but really!!

Colin glad to hear your back, you can join the club when these situations happen. I should have published my little escapade earlier, I took a friend (ex) and his brother down to the boat in Spain to do all the usual jobs, antifoul etc, (I might add that it's my home at weekends and all the time for other half) the work only got half done, the were so pi***ed one night they coulndn't get the keys into the lock to open the boat so the broke in about £1000 worth of damage, they fell into the marina twice, left the hot water running in the marina showers saying they couldn't turn it off. Got arrested while causing a fuss in a whorehouse, ..................... the story goes on and on. I just want to forget the whole episode, and just chalk it up to experience.

Never again, women cause less problems I think

Oh. I see now Colin. No it's not on at all. Pity things turned out like that. Must admit I'm glad I didn't come though cos the back had been giving me hell for months on and off and would have just collapsed on me if I'd carried on. Turned out a good thing that the pop group trip got canceled. So it's had a good rest now and back to normal. Still sorry I left you with that lot.

The young guy I took from Lagos, is taking care right now, I'll only be here for a week, so will get straight back, I don't like to leave the boat where she is for too long, its in a marina, but the security is crap, the quay is open to the public, mind you the more people about is maybe better, but the staff SAY they keep an eye open, I do hope so! I've already taken off and hidden the EPIB etc. The computer and all that stuff is also hiddedn, so it should be safe, but I have evry little choice, I wish I could have found sonmebody to be there permanently, just to boatsit, but didn't even have time to arrange that before I left! It won't happen again, I don't care how much it costs, I will have the boat secure, or I will head straight for Barcelone or somewhere else as soon as I get back and put her in a secure marina.
She is my home and everything I have! I will never let this crew thing happen again, I've been burnt just this once, but will bear the scars!

I do wish you would have come! I think they might have behaved themselves, at least I would have had some moral support!!! I'm still feeling a little low after this episode, mind you I've got a cold aswell!! Bloody cold Norway!

Seems that you were just unlucky, guess that's the risk you take when a crew member is not known to you personally.
