A friend took his son to London today and they went on the Belfast. Moored alongside is this BIG boat and youngster wants all the details, so "Uncle Colin's" got to provide it.

Anyone know anything about her. Who owns her etc? Is this really matts new boat? Or jfm trying a bit of one upmanship? All serious answers gratefully received.

Fred Drifting not to reply.

Oh all right then, but just a bit.

Re: Boadicea

Aha. didn't know it was here, will leave office in a mo and take a look from the taxi as I will be going by that way. If it is Boadicea (that's the correct spelling I think), it's a 230ish foot 1998 job whose ownership is kept more secret than most but allegedly belongs to Reg grundy (Neighbours etc). I saw it close up from my charter yacht (which was smaller than 230 feet, though only a touch) at the olympics last year, it was moored at the new maga-yacht facility that they built for the games. It is slightly ferry-like IMHO, I mean it's enormous and has a stack of decks and the most humungous radome at the top that makes Jodrell Bank look like a pingpong ball. A LS23 is much sleeker (ooh and can I have an invite pleeeze). If I see the chief engineer I'll ask if he uses Soltron :)

Re: Boadicea

Yes please any info welcome, you know what youngsters are he''s already 'phoned me just before his bedtime to find out what I can tell him and I'd hate to let him down. 'S nice being someone's hero, even if for only a while and I'd hate him to put the 'phone down and say to his Dad, "that Uncle Colin's a total prat".

Re the other point, Nah go back to the jewish version. Solly. I like the sound of that already.
