I doubt they can take a p/x in this offer because in the small print it clearly states they are only acting as a broker so they don't take title to the boat. Yes I can understand that UK buyers might feel more comfortable dealing with a familiar face but in the end, the sales contract is between the UK buyer and the European seller so BCU have no more legal obligation to the buyer than any other broker would have and 10% seems an awful lot to pay for simply hearing a familiar voice on the end of the phone. As I said, I've dealt through UK brokers myself when buying boats in Europe and they have taken their fee out of the selling broker's fee and not charged me a cent extraLastly I know BCU will take your boat in part exchange against one of these Euro boats- I know because I asked . I think they should make a bigger play on that ! Now that adds priceless value - not having to own 2 boats at once being one of them.
