Mmmmm.. thought I'd be extra friendly. Cue cheery "good morning" to the first who didn't know how to react from a friendly mobo - meek half arxxd wave back, the second one I tried it on couldn't look more furiously straight ahead and ignore me if he tried!!

are you sure they weren't narowboaters? :)

:p I get that if I'm coaching and I wave at the moboers...

Actually having said that I usually get a wave or a nod from the smaller boats and narrow boats, it's just the larger boats who seem intent on ignoring me, and looking incredibly stuck up whilst doing it. I've never seen anyone so transfixed by the horizon, it was almost as if he was afraid he'd crash into it!
Not that I'm bitter or anything...
