My little bro is newly smitten with boating and wants to get a small cruising sail boat - under 25ft, suitable for drying mooring, loo and galley, tolerable headroom, cheap - £2-4K. Happy to do work but I have advised him to look for something that has been loved rather than fixating on a particular model. He has looked at Macwester, Westerly Pageant and a couple of others but they have failed the love test. He has secured a drying mooring on the Dart and is looking for something down that way. He has no ambitions to make challenging passages (yet) and more interested in something he can drop anchor, drink beer and fish from the back. Does anyone know of anything on the market that is worth a look?
