Interesting article in The Telegraph (Google) about him, his folkboat Tessa and especially his family connection to motor racing! He was described as a bibulous person... wonderful way of putting it.

It all depends entirely on condition of course but similar floating "folkboats" go for 4K - 10k roughly. Without an engine hmmm. No one can tell until it is appraised.

Don't think Tessa is a folk boat, he did cross the pond in one, previous boat. Tessa is described as scottish built.

There's no saying that it needs a rebuild, he may have kept up with maintenance, he was aboard full time after all, and was talking about another trip, the NW passage.
Out of interest I may go and have a look if I'm allowed.

Quite, it's easier when you live aboard, no travelling involved, etc. I'd like to think my boat is a good example of this...
