Boat sinks at Cala Viñas, Mallorca

So I presume that was done for the insurance company.

I wonder how much that boat is worth now that it has been well and truly dunked

considering another one that was left in the seabed for 3yrs is on ebay for over 100K (iirc) this one with just a month or two should be 150K minimum :p

if they paid the transport and the boatyard fees for 3yrs I'd think about it

Does anyone know for sure what actually happened to cause the sinking?

Mind, if you are as lazy as I am, and you leave the seacock open at all times, this problem is only academic, of course! :D

copy that:). One additional concern I have with this 2 position valve is what hapens if the valve if left between the two set position, does create a leak into the boat? I will make a test and get back. The users-manual states that the handle should never be left half way.[/QUOTE]

I have checked the valves on my boat now and they do have 3 positions. The translation in the manual seems to be inaccurate. Good to know this if ever the emergency pumping is needed.
