Happy New Year All

I am planning a number of visits to the boat show - I work in Dagenham and I have been given an exhibitors pass. so I am planning to pop up a number of evenings to do some electronics shopping for my new toy. I seem to recall that there was a good park and ride last year, but it cost a fortune - or am i thinking of another show? Any ideas on where to park cheap or for free as I don't want to fork out mega bucks to park if i;m just popping in for an hour or two in the evening.

If you live in Dagenham use the train or even a bus may be possible it's only a short journey. The parking costs about £6/£8 a go so several visits could work out expensive.

good lord - I WORK in dagenham, I certainly don't want to Live there! People get shot in the high st in broad daylight and they've elected a BNP MP - nice place!

I could get the tube from 'nam but it would mean going into Bank and then back out on the DLR which is probably going to cost about the same as parking for a couple of hours.
Incedentaly I have found the parking tariff on one of the handouts about the show. Park and ride is 5 quid per day and the car park in excel proper is £2 per hour - max 8 quid.

Get the point. Didn't realise it had gone up in the world so much. My brother used to live there and was quite and nice then (20 years ago). No wonder they all moved out into the countryside! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
