Boat Sharing

There are a few management companies at the LBS offering to set up consortia of 3 or 4 owners to share a boat, mostly in the Med. The idea of owning a part of a flash new Azimut rather than the whole of a clunky old Fairline appeals especially since the running costs are shared plus the fact that the management company arranges all the cleaning, maintenance and provisioning as well. Seems like this kind of ownership is taking off especially for owners of boats in the Med with limited time to use them.
Anyone out there with experience of this type of boat sharing?

An intresting way to get the best of both, keep the existing boat in the UK and then have one in the med? that way get you get some nice hols with weather plus the weekend toy?
