Hi !

Since my 20's I always want to have an old wooden schooner !
That might sound like a very stupid idea but life is like that !!
Anyway, in 2004 ,I sold my house in Cornwall and find the apple in my eyes in California !!
A 1934 63' Staysail schooner designed by Edson B Schock for John Farrow (movie director) and his wife Maureen O'Sullivan (Jane in the old Tarzan movies !) and built by Boeing Aircraft Cie of Vancouver !!
I bought her via Internet, not seing her but having a good survey !!
Sure enough my surveyor missed everything !!
So I have been rebuilding her since !!
You can see progress of the work on my website :
www.mavourneen-mary.com
And as with all these type of operation your budget just get completely out of your predictions !! What's new ???
Combine with very little work this winter in my line of work, I end up with lots of credit card debts and not much money to finish the boat !!!!
So after discussions with my accountant ,the only way to get some cash is from the boat itself !! Kind of a catch 22 situation !!
To sold her as is, or to finish her for a new owner will be really sad as I really want to sail her around the world .
So I think the best solution for me is to sold only 1/3 share to a likemind crazy partner !!!!!!! who loves old wooden boats !!
I contacted a Falmouth based cie specializing in boat shares and have post her with them .
www.yachtfractions.co.uk
To use an outside cie will cost me money but they will be doing all the official paperwork involved so I think it is worthwile !!
So far no interest at all !!
I try to have Classic boat to have a look at it but same thing : no luck there !!
They seems to be more interested on the multi millions restorations projects than jobs done by ordinary blokes !!!
So my cry for help from you guys !!
Any ideas ????
Your comments on my work will be more than welcome also ,even if they are nasty !!!
Tanks to you all

nice boat by the way, you have done a lot of work, I hope you get your sharer. I did look on the yachtfractions site, but did not see your boat listed.

Yes it is listed in the oversea boats as the boat is currently in Napa valley Marina California !!
