Boat Share thoughts?

Its a Fairline 58 Sq.
The problem is over price,
I am being told that the cheapest whole boat is around £550,000 as the cheaper boat that was £500 has sold.

At 25% this makes it £137,500 which should be asking price, my thoughts are sensible offer is £110,000?
Problem is asking £175K so my sensible offer is a lot less!

It's £157K, so maybe £140K will be closer, if an offer is rejected it can always be increased, but you need to bear in mind how your future co owners might feel about it.

Personally I'd rather own a share in a syndicate where I knew the other members than buy in with a group of people whose preferences I didn't know. I don't think that limits it to the other members having to be close friends; it's more a case of understanding what the other people want and expect out of the arrangement than finding, after investing, that there are massive clashes over usage issues.

It's £137,500 isn't it, or am i looking at the wrong number?

It's difficult to gauge the effect of the Fairline admin/purchase at the moment, if any, so who knows what constitutes a reasonable offer. As you say you can always increase the offer

Just looked again, still 157.5K. But there are so many different numbers in this thread, maybe there are also different links!

Just to clarify the asking price is £157,500, it was the broker who agreed as there were other 100% boats at £550,000 then 25% of this is £137,500.

We agreed that this was a more realistic asking price and then an offer of £110K on £137,500 looked reasonable to me but then I am the buyer!
