An interesting aside was made by SWMBO the other day -
Manufactures are making hundreds of boats per year but you never see them scrapped. As GRP is non-biodegradabe and you can`t burn it without the tree huggers going loopy, what happens to the vast amount of plastic that is scrapped?
As the EU have banned old fridges being taken to the skip how long before a surcharge is made on the makers (and of course to us) ?

Heard a bit on wireless today. Apparently new Eurolaws coming in on toxic waste.

According to these laws (BBC version) almost everything that does'nt actualy grow is toxic waste. Even a television set is toxic (thats probably true)

New law says only licensed sites can accept such waste and there are as of now only 5 in the country. Apparently if you live in North Wales and want to get rid of old TV you have to take it to Bristol.

Not sure where that leaves a plastic boat.
