The hull is wrong for a Pandora, the boat two moorings away from mine is a Pandora and it doesn't look like this, the curved hatchway is a bit of Van de Stadt style but I'm certain it isn't a Pandora.

SimonPK seems to have identified it correctly, it does look like a Galion22, for some reason I can't open the images fully so can only see bits, not a full image, but looking at the condition I would suggest that the current owner should be thinking about paying Benmarsh to take it away.

If you enjoy the work then go ahead. You will find most things you need secondhand over the following couple of years.

Hi Benmarsh you are certainly up for a challenge but have you considered the name of this fine vessel. I guess it’s all down to whether you wish to have a project to learn on and perhaps make some vids for your utube channel or actually want to sail ? If sailing is the aim write down the cash and budget for repairs and then look around for something you can sail as I’m sure it will still give repairing opportunities. If bilge keel appeals then you might find with a budget , length ,with trailer in locality choices might be limited but go and view 10 or so ( on your bicycle of course to exercise) and have some form of chart to compare merits /demerits but there will be many things like splayed keels,sinking mast posts ,spongy waterlogged decks etc which might not be visible. It might be easiest to identify the class you like so you can establish names of a few SME on the marque who can give you tips. Clearly larger classes are better for this but a popular make will I guess make it easier to sell on. Good luck with your search though and do keep posting photos as many learned forumites will be able to help with advice but remember often it never coincides on here and fora seem to be a haven for some dogmatic views. I don’t know if you have a crew in mind to help with your work but that also might be useful investment BTW .

Hi everyone

I decided against getting the boat for the reasons given by those who replied to the post.
There is no outboard & the uncovered sails may well be the same condition as the rest of it.
I have no wife/kids & I have been furloughed for the next 2 months because of my trade - so plenty of time to find something else.

Many thanks to everyone for posting advice & especially those who have gone out of there way to help.
I will keep looking & be sure to upload my next find.
