Definitely not in the Solent and towards the edge of the UK but try the Coll Hotel, Isle of Coll. Great food and fantastic staff when we visited there last August. A sheltered anchorage and visitors` moorings managed by Caledonian Macbrayne.

A bit outside the OP’s area Killinure Chalets on Lough Ree, River Shannon. Delicious T Bone Steaks served on a breadboard. Great atmosphere, superb food and drink, no frills or nonsense and a lovely little harbour to stay for the night. It’s a very rustic Irish/German themed restaurant.
Also, the harbour is an amazing place to wake up in the morning.

Everyone usually says Inn on the Quay or Fat Olives when talking Emsworth eateries - but my vote/recommendation goes to the Darbar Indian restaurant in Nort St. Upmarket and delicious...
