Boat Reports Broom 450

I cant see that YBW does copies of its boats reports any longer.

Anyone know if they ever did a test and report on the Broom450 and if so any ideas where I could get a copy.

The lack of reports to buy is one thing, but why on earth did they take down the index? Ive complained on here, and also direct to time inc, but to no avail. I was fobbed off with a story about a new system being put in place, but that was clearly BS. I have loads of expensively bought MBYs and loads of MBMs but I have no way of knowing, or finding out, if they ever did a Broom 450 test. I will probably not renew my subscription, as I am constantly frustrated by the inability to track down a feature I know is in one of the mags I have bought.

Obtrusive turbo whine from about 1700 rpm from the 75p engines .

Really nice boats with fabulous accommodation due aft cabin layout that would put some 55ft designs to shame, a pal has one, but the slightly deeper draft doesn't suit the upper reaches of the inland Shannon navigation. Fab for coastal use though. Layout suits climate in these islands but you'd bake in the med where FB or SC outdoor layout more suited. The owners cabin on these boats has to be seen to be believed, you really can live on them in comfort for extended cruises.

I didnt realise that. Thats really shit. That index was very useful. I have an archive of just about every MBY and MBM going back to 1990 and now there's no way of finding a particular boat test or other article without going through every bloody issue. Shame on Time Inc or whatever they're called these days. As you say not being able to find tests and articles in past issues via an index removes some of the reason for buying the magazine in the first place

Apart from my comments above, the Broom 450 OS is a fantastic boat. One of Broom's best IMHO

Whilst I cannot of course in any way speak for Mike, I feel that he might find this cutting from MBY appropriate.
