Boat reimported to UK ….no problems!

Just to illustrate @Moonbeam reply. I attach my scatter diagram from another past thread on this forum on the same topic. The ME was reduced to £50 under £100k and the interest came in. It’s interesting that no one seems to take a punt at an overpriced boat, they just turn the page it seems.
ps My boat is actually 2001 launched 2002 and has the 2002 facelift.

Excellent question
We have been boasting for 45 years covering the Adriatic and the Med and have been at our current spot which we love for 15 years and feel like I’ve done it.
The mistake
To be kind to SHMBO I decided to start using one of the marina hotels.
Whereas we would spend 3 weeks or more on the boat we now because of hotel costs trim that down
Conclusion
We are there typically for a week and I spend most of that time in maintenance
The ending
Whats the point?
Also the boat is in the best condition it has been since new

Yes the water does look dingy.
This was part of the ad in Spain which aroused no interest
Conclusion
Dingy water sells boats

What an utterly depressing tale! Although to be fair 45 years boating isn’t a bad innings and sharing you experience will help in ensuring that I never, ever succumb to booking a hotel as an alternative to staying aboard!

Yes Sorry it does come across a bit like that but there are other things we want to explore. For eg We are driving around South Korea at the moment and staying in lovely hotels knowing a dollop of cash is coming in soon

Well that doesn’t sound too bad but I must ensure that SWMBO doesn’t get sight of this thread and start asking awkward questions about what we might be able to do if we didn’t have a boat. Enjoy your travels.

Fwiw I also sold my last boat when the balance seemed to tip from actually boating to visiting mostly to maintain it. Family reasons etc.

Have found plenty to enjoy since. But, 9 years on, I’m now thinking of buying another boat.
