Help required please I am 60 just learnt to sale and of course after a boat,most people have been helpful,but info very coflicting. the boat I liked at the boat show was the Bez sailer,(MG BOATS) could anybody advise me if this boat could be launched and sailed SINGLE handed by a novice.

my dad's in his 60's he has a micro plus explorer, he cannot launch and recover on his own.. niether for that matter could i!

but i guess a sailer would be lighter and easier to handle, best bet is borrow something simmilar and try it. if you struggle, go for something lighter, or you'll never get round to using it.

Depends on size of boat really.Dont know this boat but if its a keel boat of any description then launch and recovery is going to be difficult if not impossible for one person. Regarding sailing single-handed really depends on experience rather than size of boat/age of owner. since it appears to be a trailer sailer sailing it single-handed should not be a problem for a confident novice. More details of the boat would be helpful if you require more info.
