Not sure why this old thread has surfaced again. At the time I was asked not to say anything for fear that the finder was a forumite and the position would be aggravated. As it is now history I will say that a quite modest 'reward' was paid and the matter settled. End of.

I bumped the thread after looking for the Dove II thread to see if it had been found. I remember it had been settled but very hushed so I was inquisitive to what had happened, as time has passed I thought it may come to light.

Good to know it was settled, shame good will among sailors didn't.
