Boat Insurance

Well, you know this was gonna happen.............................

I have been with Admiral Yacht for six years and in that time I have made two claims. They have been fantastic all the time. I have just sold my boat but I will insure with them on the next one for sure.

Not the answer to your question I know..............

You'll never believe this!

I've just found out that Admiral only insure boats with a value in excess of £40,000 so I can not insure my new one with them (it's only a quarter of that!).

I am not complaining, just a little sad because they are really nice people. So my recommendation still stands as long as your boat is worth a bit!

I've been with Traffords for the last couple of years. They seem efficient enough and are flexible if you want to add extras like single handing, short layup periods etc. They appear to have come from the amateur flying market where they seem to get good reviews. Not had to claim so can't comment on that front.
As PWG states they act as brokers to various Lloyds syndicates.
