I don't know the economics of it but there are two cradles involved, mine and the hattan 73's, so that makes it sensible to truck them not scrap them probably

Fwiw, N-NW wind has been blowing strong also much further south in the last couple of days, all the way down to SW Sardinia.
Therefore, even if I heard of nasty waves building up in the Lyon Gulf also with a relatively short fetch, I would think that by going much further south, from the Balearics to Genoa, they might find even worse sea conditions... But what do I know?
Good thing that (IIRC) M2 is on stbd side of the ship, anyway!

I think you might not get a reply for a while. AIS suggests that Apollogracht arrived in Genoa about an hour and a half ago, and I imagine that jfm is there right now keeping an eye on the unload, and thereafter getting ready to take Match to Antibes.
There is a webcam at Genoa port at http://www.partridge.it/Axis211M.htm but I think the view to Apollogracht is obscured by buildings.

Does the cover come off Match before they drop into the water? I had visions of SS dropping it into the water alongside and JFM cutting a whole in the fly bridge to drive a fully wrapped match to Antibes.

Way back on page 121, I mentioned that Fairline needed some new pics for the SQ78 webpage. It seems they have added one or two of your boat (the saloon and maybe the master cabin) to the sequence. Oddly, the last two images don't load for me in Firefox, Chrome or IE. Not sure what the problem is there.
Hope the unloading went smoothly, and your pride and joy is safe. It seems only yesterday that it (or maybe she?) came out of the mould

LOL, yeah, and with a quad-copter following and filming the cruise from above!
Anyway, if nothing else, the delayed arrival meant that jfm should have found some pretty good sea conditions along the coastal trip from Genoa to Antibes today.
And that should be true also for tomorrow according to the latest forecast, in case jfm didn't leave yet.
So, hopefully he enjoyed (or will enjoy) a great first Med cruise on M2, at last!

I was wondering that as well, I thought JFM had said there was a transponder fitted, it may just be set to receive though I guess.

Thanks everyone for the good wishes. Match was safely offloaded last Friday from the ship Apollogracht, in Genoa docks:
Once she was in the water I had to climb down the side of the ship via a long rope ladder. No photos, because I was using 2 hands in an effort stay alive! We then waved the ship goodbye and sailed eastwards down the looooong stretch of water inside Genoa's huge breakwater
The boat was still covered in anti chafe tape put on by the cover guys
You don't only get flaming hoons in the solent. Here is a Maiora 22m ish boat doing 20knots past the local kids in their sailing dinghies near Genoa.
On Friday evening Match entered Port Vauban. Home sweet home, 360 days since I handed Match 1 over to her new owners. It's very nice to have got to this point after a year and a half of boat thinking/designing/organising. Second pic is courtesy of EME - Match reversing into her Mole Sud berth for the first time
At anchor in the evening sun, off the Cap D'Antibes:
And finally here is a quick video shot by EME/Targa50
I will make a few more posts before wrapping this up - I'd like to show you the anchor camera working for starters. I'll get a few more pics next weekend
