Boat Identification

I need some info on my recently purchased boat.
Does anyone have any ideas what she could be or her likely age? William fife is a likely possibility but have very little evidence to back that claim.

Any ides would be much appreciated. Also how do i add a picture?

Her refurbishment will begin shortly.

Yes congratulations fantastic boat! Sorry I can’t help with identification but she looks like she’s from a good stable.

Where has the William Fife claim come from? There should be an official number carved inside somewhere - usually inside the fore hatch if she has one or round the mast / fwd bulkhead on a beam. This would help your identification of her. How old is she and where did you find her out of interest?

Well the boat was advertised on E-bay and the seller had many visitors to see the boat and many claimed it could be a fife. I have not seen the boat yet. I purely made a gamble with her and very little expense and now im looking for some quick identification before i restore her. Knowing more about the boat will help to research its history and try to locate her birth place along with a name!

At the moment any information is better than none. As soon as work starts on here i will be sure to post all information on here on the progress. viewings will also be more than welcome.

Going back to when I first bought Kala Sona the yard shipwright (John Robertson, sadly now deceased) owned a boat called Corrie which was lying in Gosport Boat Yard. I may be mistaken but take a look at

At least the two are similar but no doubt someone with sharper eyes than me will say where I am wrong..

The boat in question looks to have a clipper bow! Corrie with her spoon bow looks more recent IMHO.

I think this boat was for sale a few years ago (maybe 10) by Peter Gregson of Wooden Ships. It does not look like much has been done apart from dropping the keel off and a new stern post. So after a couple of weeks it looks like the last guy ran out of money/time/interest/skill (delete as applicable).
By refurbishment I presume you mean full structural rebuild?

I suggest emailing these pics to Peter, who has a photgraphic memory of most boats and may be able to help you.

Out of interest, are you rich in time, skill, money, or all three?
