Boat Hunting for Liveaboard in Dubai

There are few in Dubai. I have checked compatibility of the changes with the location of other things such as pumps, A/C compressors etc. and I didnt run into any conflict. So for the first set of mods I believe it will be pure carpentry/joinery work.
Transom changes would be demanding but those would be eventually implemented once it becomes apparent crew is needed on board most of the time and/or more storage space is needed.

Budget for immediate changes is 50k, for full mods another 100k EUR, reasonable?
Wow, that's an extensive refitting for sure.
Extremely hard to tell whether your estimates are reasonable - also because they obviously depend a lot from your local yard costs.
I would have rather said they are if you were talking of GBP instead of EUR, fwiw.
Best of luck anyway, it surely looks like a great base for yet another epic refitting thread.... :)

it totally depends on what type of yard, or workers you can get there,

a local one-man Carpenter, with one or two cheap helpers, I'm not sure if that exists over there,
or on the other end of the spectrum,
a expensive yard with agents and managers and all that,
and flying competent craftsmen in from europe, ...
or something in between.

Here in europe, labour is the biggest cost,
high quality materials are quite easy te get,

have no clue whats possible in that region,

if George (my carpenter) spoke English, I'd definitely recommend him.
Of course I could come along as an expensive translator, could throw some design ideas as well in while I'm at it :p

serious, got to check very carefully who can take care of these mods and at what price!

Interesting project nevertheless and hope to have a proper documentation of the process ;)

cheers

IF there is going to be a refit for sure I will do my best to keep updates.
I am tempted by this boat also for the thrill of the renovation.
On the other hand I value the opinion of all who replied thus I am very reluctant to go ahead on this option (speed, appeal, amount of work needed etc)
I am back in italy to see other things on the market.
