Presumably a boat gas fitter is no different to a caravan gas fitter? Surely there must be one around that works on the caravans in the Seasalter area. Not too far away, I know Sheppey Caravans have a local fitter they use. It could be worth a call.

I assume it is to do with bottle storage, bumping around, gimbled cookers. There is a separate code of practice and an extension to the normal gas safety inspection certification. And it's probably more expensive.....

Gas heavier than air so any leak sits in bilge where as with a caravan it could fall out the bottom rather than build up. Both are at risk of leak / build up / ignition source / BOOM

Saw a boat in Jersey split from bow to keel and keel to stern by a gas explosion long time ago. Think one of the Nic 55s from Joint Services Gosport had a bad explosion back in the 80s

Tried one suggestion so far, they wanted 250 sailing tokens per day with no apparent concession even if it's only an hour or two's work. I don't think so.....
Several more leads to follow up. It shouldn't be this difficult!

I think you'll find it is that difficult...at a reasonable cost... in the mean time i'm going to struggle on with my leak detecting spray and bubble tester.
But if you do strike gold please let me know.
