Boat fire in Ocean Village

Re: Boat fire in OV - more plus photo

Some things don't change: note it was a luxury yacht. No-one in publishing can ever mention word yacht alone.

Just spoken to OV marina office.
Fire thought to be on visiting yacht on B40.
No yachts in adjacent berths.

BBC reckoned adjacent yacht had to be moved ...... because they found Propane cylinders on it !! Well what a surprise !

Bit like ..... Mr. XXXXX house was on fire and it was found that cans of petrol were in garage etc. etc.

Sadly a boat burned up ... happily it appears that no-one was hurt.

Apparently, it was started by a chav.

[/ QUOTE ]And where pray tell did you hear /read this rumour?

"Ooh, look darling, a boat's on fire. Make mine a pint. Back in a tic. Must phone the fire brigade. Yes, darling, the usual, a Carling. Hmm, now where's my phone?"

Re: Boat fire in OV - more plus photo

Just to confirm, the third link mentions that it was started by a heater that was left on.

The info to MDL staff from HQ is the same, " a heater was left on whilst the crew were ashore having dinner". My information was that no one was hurt and no other vessels were damaged.
