Would anyone else be able to provide more to the list? I am helping out at with a D&T project for a school and we need to approach some designers. The web just gives me hits for boat design software!

Alan Buchanan - getting on now (late 80's/90's), not heard he's dead - and was still active surveying boats late on, but not sure now.

Designed a LOT of good Yachts.

Noah is a great deisgner, does a lot of the ARC boats.

Good question. It is just that I know those because I've used their plans before and I love cats. I don't know any monohull designers that are so hands on.
Answer is no though... any hands on designer could do.
