one of the jobs I have got on my list to do this winter is to get my canopy on my sealine re-stitched in certain areas. The actual canopy is in great condition, but some of the stitching is coming apart, leaving areas where rain water can sometimes leak in if heavy enough. I also want to get some sort of strap sewn into the top part so that I can roll up the side canopies and then hold them in place (at the moment we have to either take them of, or wedge them in under the metal frame).
Does anyone know of anywhere within driving distance of Bray that could do the work, doesn't have to be a marine company, just someone who can stitch heavy duty boat canvases?

Mac Hoods at Wootens boatyard are your boys. Also Marine Trimming at Penton are not bad. Someone will be along with the phone numbers or check the Bray Marina office.

Mac hoods are very good, they did exactly the same thing for our Princess 35. Their number is 01628 483411 /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I've heard Mac hoods are good, but have tried many times and never persuaded them to actually turn up, even when they promised to.
Jeckels turned up when they said and replaced a zip but didn't do other bits of the repair they'd promised. They also made me a dash cover, as promised.
Fibratrim make the original Sealine bits, and I've ordered a complete new hood at an incredibly good price. So good I'm fearing the worst, but the service so far has been spot on. PM me in a fortnight and I'll let you know what it was like when it turns up.

I think for some stitching you are more likely to get attention if you are able to take the canvas to them.
BEHC Marine Trimming at Walton Marina are another possible

Yes I can vouch for BEHC. They re-upholstered my flybridge seat. Good job. As Martin says, you do need to take the job to them at Walton Marina.
