"Passerelle" I think. I made one out of a B&Q aluminium ladder and a sheet of ply screwed over the rungs one side and treadmaster on the ply. Looks great works well and cheap as chips. Commercial ones are bloody expensive. Loads of peeps just use a plank!
Yes I was looking at the passerelle's in use in Sausset les -pins & some of them just looked very expensive, one even had a hydraullic piston mounted on a transom. But unfortunatly I dont have the luxury of making one as I really need to get one delivered fairly urgently.
Pop round to the local building site and you will find that they often leave passarelles lyiing around. The advantage of this type of passarelle is that it can be moved from stern to bow as needed, can be lashed to stanchions when not in port, costs very little (zero usually) and you are not too worried if you leave it on the quay by accident or if it gets nicked- probably just the builder getting his own back (sic)!!
Here in Italy fancy carbon-fibre ones 2.2m long are running at £800 plus fitting hardware.......... but they are really light .......... unfortunately also "attractive".
Hi Poter,
Try Tony Howe at superyachtdoc.com. He's an agent of Osculati, Italy. We researched three years back and he did the best value - around £250 for stainless / teak jobbie which has worked well for us.

If You buy one nice SS Passerelle, chances are high that the exact modl that suits You has to be delivered.... next week. As others said, buy an alluminum ladder 2,00 2,50 mt long, get a strip of plywood or, as I did, of alluminum foil with anti slip surface, drill a couple of holes per step and work done, no more than a couple of hours.,
Cheers,
