Bluetti power pack

Watch Sailing Fair Isle. He has done a bit of a review of it and used it when his main battery bank was knackered.

At the end of the day, it's a very expensive battery pack with a built-in charger and inverter. Maybe useful if you want to go camping, but boaters have cheaper options.
I was intrigued by the ease of use, the boiling of the kettle and the use of a toaster at the same time. Seamless charging by way of mppt solar controller and inverting to mains power. For us in the sun, main house bank charged by midday, then spare going to the magic box. Given that a 110 amp hour lithium is about a grand? then an mppt charger, then a decent inverter? It could replace a Honda 2.0 kw genny?

Presumably that's a camping or travel kettle?

I had a 600W travel kettle I used for a while - it was cheap and lasted about a year. Replacing it with a full-sized kitchen kettle, I was unable to find one of less than 3KW.

The Bluetti appears to be 2KW.

IMO a lithium house bank is the real answer, but it's such a pain in the ass I can't see myself getting around to it for a few years. I suppose that does help make the case for the Bluetti.

you have hit the nail on the head, ease of use. It seems to work seamlessly

I think it looks like a great thing and would be delighted to give it an excellent review if I had one and if it would run a tassimo machine...(PS distributors can pm for my address if they want to send me one...)
