Has any one any experience of "Blue Thru" for cleaning salt deposits from outboards by flushing. Sounds like it could be useful or maybe just a gimmick?

How do you do this when returning to your mooring when you have no plans to go ashore for several days? Large O-Bs have flushing systems but something like an old 2-stroke has to be run in a container. I could probably manage this with my Suzuki 4-stroke in neutral in a bucket, but not with my old nes.Do you not flush through with fresh water after use?
Yes, I flush the engine with fresh water when possible, but my question was whether adding one of these products as an extra was of any benefit. They claim that they leave a film in the cooling channels that prevents corrosion as well as clearing salt deposits. As Vic says it would be useful if there was some scientific evidence to support their claims. Maybe there is??Do you not flush through with fresh water after use?
