Blue RIB on the Deben

To save valuable time and reduce frustration I have produced the following thread starter pro-forma =

Blue/Yellow/Black/White/Red/Other*
RIB on the
Deben/Alde/Ore/Orwell/Stour/Walton Backwaters/Blackwater/Crouch/Other*​
[*delete as applicable]


I can also offer the BETA version of the responses app I am developing (feedback welcome) -

I wish to complain/not complain/none of the above just don't want to be left out
I saw/didn't see/read somewhere
the same/something completely different/nothing at all
in the same place/somewhere else/in my wildest dreams
it is madness/an outrage/a trifling matter
they/we/you should
do something/stop it at once/buy your own RIB/chill out/report this to the Mods

Excellent work, but you missed out the option so others can let people know they're vegan. :ROFLMAO:

I'd be pretty upset too. At some states of the tide I don't have an awful lot under my keel there, and a big wash could have me bouncing off the bottom, or even pushed me sideways into shoal water - it shallows very rapidly north of the buoys.

But isn't that near Alpha Centauri? Certainly beyond the known universe. Marked as 'Here be Dragons' on my chart, and there are double digits, whatever that means, where the soundings should be.

One might fall off the edge of the East Coast World trying to get there!

You will find some reassuring shallows, right in the middle of the solent, to make you feel at home. They even play cricket there. Try that on an east coast mudflat. In fact, please do, it'll add a huge amount of interest to the game. Pretty sure we can find you some mud too though I cannot guarantee it's consistency will be as pleasing as that to be found on some of your rivers. Pubs and eateries, we have those, in abundance. As to the Dragons, they're fairly tame, and can be found racing off Cowes every Thursday eve, and for a whole week in August.

I believe there is also an east coast tradition of cricket on the sand bank ;)

We used to do the Buxey Ashes vs Tollesbury each year when we belonged to MLSC. We didn't affect to wear whites but had some good games. It all got a bit silly when dog owners didn't control their beasts and the games got messed up and people lost interest, though it may have been restored for all I know. I could never get the pitch to take my spin.
