Logged on this morning and due to high winds etc, have had 5 power cuts thus far. Have relogged on again when power allows, only to find that each time all the posts show as 'read'. This is really infuriating as I then cannot recall what I have actually read, as opposed to what I haven't.

Just a thought, Kim, how difficult would it be, to set it up that if a post has not been read, and one logs off, then it would stay as unread next time one logs on??

I agree, it's a real pain. I sort of get around it by not closing the Explorer window, while I re-connect.

It is now nb...I can fix that bit!

The way that the forum behaves in this respect is the way we inherited the code. We've changed a fair bit since installing the software two years back and have more things to consider on the list so I'll add this one to take a look at it at the very least and see what's what.

However, you should find that it is only the main index that drops the unread flags...the individual posts should still show as unread irrespective?
