good afternoon,

i am planning to change my deck block RF871 - single cheek, flat base

what is the difference between single and double cheek - is any problem if instead of sigle cheek, i replace with double cheek block

thanks and brgds

You'll get two sheaves. Handy for rigging extra sheets/guys etc. Might need longer bolts, depends on design.

i wang to replace because the sheave is damaged
but strange - it has canal on the sheave only from upper part
or if you look on the sheave, the base (part closes to deck or down side of the block) is with d=45 mm and upper part is with d=15 mm - i have never see a block with this form.
usualy the sheave is symmetrical on low and upper part and between is passing the rope.

This is the double block of the same type as RF871
