thats only the interior.... the exterior has had/will get 10 coats.
And once those are all on, it will be another two coats for every year of ownership.
I sometimes look at the 'glaze' that is on the hull of some traditional Dutch boats and think the owners are either very wealthy or they should get a life!
 
Oh, how I yearn to keep TG in a shed over the winter. Think of the ease of doing things! How can I get 10 coats of vanish on the rail under the cover? And once I get the cover off, there is never enough time. There wasn't ten days free of rain last Spring.

I look at the traditional boats around in beautiful condition and think how great it is that someone can do that for me to look at !!!! :eek:

No exterior varnish for us. It never seems to work on teak.......
and the previous owner did the inside a dozen or more years ago :D :D
