GiffGaff have no customer service I understand
If you need help, there's a good and quick online support system. Log in to "My giffgaff", go to "Help" and select "Ask a giffgaff agent".
GiffGaff have no customer service I understand
As others have said, Giffgaff uses the 02 network. Coverage maps are unreliable: I got an 02 phone on contract and had to cancel as it didn't work at home - almost zero signal. The girl in the 02 shop lived 50 yards away from me and said she had a perfect 4G signal. I could only get a "one bar" signal by standing in an upstairs bay window.
Switched to Plusnet which uses the EE network - but cheaper than EE. See what network works best where you are.....
Just a cautionary note about auto top-ups. I had my giffgaff account set to top up by £20, with a max of 3 top ups per month. I use a Windows laptop on the boat, tethered to my mobile. In the middle of the night, Windows decided to download a massive update, which I think kept stalling and restarting. In the morning, all my goodybag data had been swallowed by Windows, and my account then went on to PAYG data, which had then automatically topped up by £20 no fewer than 3 times! I have now disabled virtually every Windows background action I can find, and I've set my phone as a Windows "metered connection" which should stop it downloading big updates. I've also disabled auto top-up with giffgaff (although I turn it back on whenever I go abroad, in case of emergency use).
Although the windows updates are a pain they are really worth taking in order to keep your laptop secure.
