Hi All, I'll pop something in the lounge too but I hear that mobo owners aren't short of a few bob so I thought I'd chance my arm here first
Please consider donating to the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity that I am fundraising for. I am undertaking a 100km Cycle Ride between London and Brighton overnight on the 20th September. You'll see from the photo in the link below that I have some serious training to do to get into shape for the event, hitting my initial £100 target early will be a huge incentive as I'll then be assured of a place.
Please do consider donating, it's a fantastic cause and one that is close to my heart. I'll be cycling with a good mate (along with my son) who's beaten cancer (thus far), a young lady nicknamed 'little Deb' in her late 30's who's been super dooper fit (kick boxer) all her life until the decease decided it was her turn to give it a kicking a year ago. Little Deb got her nickname from her netball mates, my missus, was 'big Deb' playing in the same team. Little Deb is fit enough now to take part in the cycle ride with this event being one of many things she does as a sort of payback for the wonderful help she's received over the last 12 months in beating the big C. I am getting involved to do likewise as frankly, she's been a inspiration to me and many of our friends, including my wife.
Further details can be found here (have a little read of my story): http://www.justgiving.com/Gary-Pearson4
Hopefully to give this a little perspective, a ten or twenty quid donation I'd imagine would be equal to taking a short displacement speed passage at some point in 2014 rather than planing the journey.
Again, hope you do decide to contribute, it'd be greatly appreciated if you did
cheers Gary
