Black tank smell

OK what our local Poopmeister Guru told/did for us. pumping the loo to the tank pushes air from the tank out of the vent. With an empty or near empty tank that air can have the same inlet pong that you might get even without a holding tank in the system but is now taking a diversion to the outside via the tank vent instead of into the toilet compartment. He fitted a larger (125 inch IIRC) vent pipe to our then liveaboard mobo with 2 loos and one big holding tank and installed an inline replaceable cartridge charcoal filter, problem completely solved. He also said never add any pongy snake oil chemicals to mask odours as they do nothing useful at all..

I have tryed this Noflex Digestor stuff it's new. There are no fragrances to it it doesn't mask odours
Doesn't work like the others and you don't need filters with it
Best thing is it gets rid on all the odours coming from the hoses after using it a couple of times.
